The Ukrainian Journal of Constitutional Law operates under a Diamond Open Access model: the full text of publications is freely available online, and authors are not charged fees for manuscript submission, peer review or publication.
1. Author Fees
The Journal does not charge authors any mandatory fees for publication.
The following charges do not apply:
- Submission Fee – no fee for submitting a manuscript;
- Article Processing Charge (APC) – no fee for editorial processing or publication;
- Peer Review Fee – no fee for peer review;
- Editorial Processing Fee – no separate editorial processing fee;
- Page Charges – no charge based on the number of pages;
- Colour Charges – no additional fee for colour tables, graphs, figures or other illustrations;
- no other mandatory charges associated with manuscript submission or publication.
The Journal’s requirements concerning manuscript length, structure and formatting are editorial requirements and are not grounds for additional charges. Manuscripts must comply with the applicable length requirements set out in the Publication Guidelines.
The absence of fees applies regardless of the author’s country, institution or other characteristics. Financial considerations do not influence editorial or peer review decisions.
2. Open Access Model
The Journal provides immediate and free open access to published scholarly content through its official website.
No subscription or registration is required to read or download the full text.
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Detailed copyright and licensing terms are provided in the Journal’s separate policy.

3. Funding Sources
The principal sources supporting the Journal’s activities are:
- institutional support from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv;
- non-commercial organisational and publishing support from the Publisher – Ukrainian Journal of Constitutional Law Editorial Magazine, Limited Liability Company.
This support contributes, among other things, to website operation, technical and publishing work, production of publication layouts, DOI registration, archiving and other necessary publishing activities.
Individual issues of the Journal in previous years may also have received project-specific or sponsorship support. Such support did not give sponsors the right to determine editorial policy, the content of issues, peer review outcomes or editorial decisions.
In particular, issues No. 4 (2020), No. 3 (2021) and No. 4 (2021) were published within the project “Support for the Protection of Human Rights through Improved Access to Constitutional Justice,” implemented by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine with financial support from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Information concerning project-specific support for a particular issue is stated in the relevant issue of the Journal.
4. Independence from Funding Sources
Funding does not influence editorial decisions.
Authors and manuscripts are assessed according to scholarly, editorial and ethical criteria regardless of the funding source of the research, the Journal or an individual issue.
Editorial decisions concerning acceptance, peer review, revision or rejection are not sold, are not determined by financial support and cannot be conditioned on such support.
5. Advertising and Other Commercial Revenue
The Journal does not accept commercial advertising.
The Journal does not rely on advertising, commercial placements or other paid promotional mechanisms as sources of funding for its editorial and publishing activities.
6. Print Version
The Journal has a print version, while the full text of its publications is freely available online through the official website.
- Electronic subscriptions are not offered.
- Online access to articles and issues is free of charge.
- Distribution of required print copies is carried out in accordance with applicable publishing and library requirements.
An author may request an individual printed copy for personal use. In such a case, the author may be charged only the actual cost of producing the copy and postage. Such payment is not a submission, peer review or publication fee and does not affect editorial decisions.
